Colorado Rockies slugger Larry Walker wore this pinstriped Rockies home jersey during the 1997 MLB season. Walker won the 1997 National League MVP award in a landslide, putting together an incredible Triple Crown slash line of .366/49/130 with 33 stolen bases, 46 doubles, and 143 runs scored. Walker paced the National League in homers and on base percentage (.452) while leading all of baseball in slugging percentage (.720), OPS (1.172), and total bases (409). An All-Star in 1997, Walker also claimed a Silver Slugger and Gold Glove to display in his trophy case.

This offered jersey is a white button-down Rockies jersey with purple pinstripes. “ROCKIES” is sewn across the chest in white and black tackle twill. “WALKER” and his number “33” are sewn on the back of the jersey in black and gray tackle twill. A 1997 Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary patch is sewn on the right sleeve above a purple Russell Athletic logo. A Rockies logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve. A Russell Athletic size “48” tag with an attached “100% Polyester” flag is sewn on the front left tail. This jersey comes with a LOA from the Colorado Rockies.

Also included in this lot is a pair of white Rockies pants worn by Walker. These pants boast purple pinstripes, and one of the two buttons on the front is missing. A Russell size “36” tag is sewn inside the waistband next to a “33 Walker 36-38-39-95” tag. The numbers “8” and “14” are handwritten in black marker inside the pants.
