Former NBA star Rick Fox enjoyed a stellar 13-season career playing for the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers. The Canadian-born forward out of the University of North Carolina, won three titles with the Lakers from 2000-2002 and retired following the 2004 season. During the 1996-97, Fox passed Hall of Famer Larry Bird for the Celtics’ single-season steals record with 167, that was later broken by Rajon Rondo during the 2009-10 season. Fox was presented with this Spalding game ball that has painted panel in white with green. The ball comes directly from the personal collection of Rick Fox with the painted panel reading “TO RICK FOX” printed in white with a green background and “ON SETTING THE ALL-TIME BOSTON CELTICS SINGLE SEASON STEALS RECORD WITH HIS 167TH STEAL OF THE 1996-97 SEASON VS. CLEVELAND CAVALIERS ON APRIL 11, 1997 AT THE FLEET CENTER” printed in green on a white background. The ball displays heavy game use with numerous abrasion marks and some chipping and fading on the painted panel. This comes with a LOA from Rick Fox.
