Michael Jordan did remarkable things on the court, but he also transformed the culture. Fathers and sons bonded over shared enthusiasm for Jordan's exploits. The sports pages were filled with daily news about his latest heroics. His presence in a game rendered moot any question of team loyalty: the fans first-and-foremost wanted to see this amazing player. In many ways, for many people, "MJ" became the game. Even now, years later, the observer's reaction upon viewing a highest-level Jordan tribute piece, as presented here, is an almost intoxicating, certainly priceless mixture of wonder, appreciation and nostalgia.

Among a total of fifteen copies recorded in PSA’s census reporting, only four specimens have attained this example's superior assessment. The limited-edition piece is serial-numbered "14/15."
