Bobby Murcer was a fan favorite of the New York Yankees for 13 seasons, starring for the team in the early 1970’s and returning for a spell in the late 1970's and early 1980’s. Murcer, a native of Oklahoma City, made four of his five career All-Star teams with the Yankees. The offered item in this lot is the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce 1998 Native Son award presented to Murcer. The trophy has a trapezoidal base, with a clear disk nearly 12 inches in diameter mounted on top. An image of Murcer tipping his batting helmet to the crowd is printed on the disk. This item comes with a LOA from the Murcer family.
