Winning an NBA championship undoubtedly takes immeasurable hard work and dedication, along with immense talent. Imagine winning not only back-to-back titles, but three in a row. Now, imagine doing that TWICE! The 1998 Bulls accomplished precisely that feat, winning the championship for the third straight season (’96, ’97) after already taking home the NBA crown in ’91, ’92 and ’93.

The Bulls dynasty, of course, was led by Michael Jordan. During the 1997-98 season, Jordan averaged a league-leading 28.7 points per game and won the league’s MVP Award. Scottie Pippen scored 19.1 points per game, and Dennis Rodman averaged a league-leading 15.0 rebounds per game. The Bulls won 62 games during the regular season, ultimately defeating the Utah Jazz, four games to two, to win the championship.

The ring commemorating Chicago’s title that season is simply phenomenal. Manufactured by Jostens, it is 14K gold, with an 18K gold top. The face is stunning, and features a depiction of the NBA championship trophy, with a 75-point high quality diamond symbolizing the basketball at the top of the trophy. Five additional smaller trophies (representing the team’s six championships) appear among 74 other diamonds. There are nearly three carats of diamonds total. The ring’s left shank features the words “WORLD CHAMPIONS 1998 REPEAT 3-PEAT” along with the NBA logo in relief work. On the band’s other side is displayed the name “LEWANDOWSKI” (team executive Mike Lewandowski) above the Bulls logo, with the word “STAFF” at the bottom. Inside the band is marked JOSTENS 14K/18K TOP”. Weighing approximately 45.8 grams, this ring is an approximate size 12. Included with this very scarce item is the original 9 ¾ x 12 x 4 ½ inch wooden display case which features an engraved plate (“CHICAGO BULLS 1998 WORLD CHAMPIONS Mike Lewandowski”), and comes complete with a skeleton key.
