Offered here is a game used New York Yankees cap worn by Derek Jeter circa 1998 and signed by the Hall of Famer with a black marker. The 1998 season saw Jeter lead the American League in runs with 127 and finish the season with 203 hits and a lofty .324 batting average. Jeter led the Yankees to a franchise record of 114 wins and a second World Series title in three seasons. The six-panel hat features the interlocking "N.Y." logo in white on the front. An MLB logo appears on the back of the cap. An MLB AUTHENTIC DIAMOND COLLECTION tag rests on the inside sweatband. A New Era tag rests on the inside sweatband. A size "7 1/8" 5950 tag rests on the inside sweatband. The hat displays excellent evidence of game use and contains stains on the inside sweatband, a stain on the brim, and a faint stain on the top of the cap. Jeter signed the underside of the brim with a black marker. The number "2" in blue ink appears on the inside brim inscribed by an unknown hand. The item comes with an LOA from J.T. Sports (1466) for the game use and an LOA from Beckett Authentication (A90224) for the signature.
