Edgar Martinez spent his entire 18-year MLB career with Seattle, representing the Mariners at seven All-Star Games and winning the AL batting crown twice. Martinez used this bat during the 1998 season in which he hit .322 and led the league in on base percentage. This offered Louisville Slugger C243 model bat is un-cracked and displays outstanding use and was used by Martinez during the 1998 season. There is some checking from repeated ball contact on the front and back barrel and there are many ball marks with stitch impressions visible. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and there are cleat imprints and shoe polish found on the barrel. The handle has been taped in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip and a coat of pine tar has been applied. The weight is written on the knob in red ink and Martinez’s signature on the barrel in black Sharpie completes this outstanding gamer from the Mariners legend. This bat comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA (C86331) for the game use and COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (C99685) for the signature.
