Detroit Pistons small forward Grant Hill wore these Fila sneakers during the 1998 NBA All-Star Game. The All-Star Game took place at Madison Square Garden, with Larry Bird coaching Hill’s Eastern Conference team and George Karl taking the reins for the West. Hill started the game, scoring 15 points and dishing five assists as the East won comfortably by a score of 135-114. Hill was one of the best players in the NBA during the 1997-98 season, averaging 21.1 points to go with 7.7 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game for the Pistons. In 2018, Hill was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
These Fila sneakers are silver and black, with a white midsole and black laces. “FILA” is sewn on each side of both shoes, as well as on the tongues. A Fila logo is sewn on the base of the tongue. “GH” is embroidered in white on the heel of each shoe and applied in white to each toe. The shoes are a size 15.5. Hill has signed the midsole of each shoe in black marker. These shoes come with a LOA from MEARS, as well as a Letter of Provenance from a retired Pistons employee. A LOA from JSA (Z83403) covers Hill’s signatures.
