The New York Yankees picked up Luis Sojo in 1996 as infield insurance for what would be their string of six pennant winners in eight years. The utility infielder performed a limited but nonetheless important role for the next several summers, including contributing 34 hits to the Yankees historic 114-win 1998 World Championship season. The Louisville Slugger R205 model bat is un-cracked, shows evidence of heavy use and was used by Sojo during the 1998 season. Some checking from repeated ball contact is found on the back barrel.
