Presented here is an autographed Gentlemen’s Quarterly (GQ) magazine with Muhammad Ali on the cover, headlined : “The Athlete of the Century”. Ali who had taken the Heavyweight Division by storm in the 60’s and 70’s was honored with this particular issue of GQ magazine. Released in April of 1998, long after Ali had retired, this issue included a 14-page tribute to Ali’s accomplishments written by John Schulian, with a collection of photographs by sports photographer Neil Liefer (the same man who snapped the picture of Ali standing over Liston). This item is signed by Ali in bold black ink on the bottom of the cover page. This magazine stands 8 x 11 inches and shows some wear on the edges of the cover page, but is hardly visible to the naked eye. The magazine is in overall excellent condition and comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (E34593).
