With a record of 76-66, the 1998 New Orleans Zephyrs won their first Pacific Coast League (PCL) title and would go on to capture their first AAA World Series. Carlos Hernandez hit .298 with 29 stolen bases.
Presented here is a Jostens 10K gold 1998 New Orleans Zephyrs AAA World Series Championship ring, featuring the team’s letter “Z” logo, made up of CZs, set atop a large green stone. Additional CZs appear around the bezel setting while “TRIPLE A WORLD SERIES 1998 CHAMPIONS” is done in relief work along the perimeter. The left shank displays the Astros logo along with the name “HERNANDEZ” and number 12. “PCL CHAMPIONS” reads above the Zephyrs team logo on the opposite shank. Both the manufacturer and 10K marks appear inside the band. There is a very small chip and slight crack to the left-center of the "Z" on the green stone. This ring is an approximate size 9 ½, weighs approximately 32.3 grams and comes with owner's original purchase LOA.
