The 1998 New York Yankees were one of the most dominant teams of the 20th century, winning 114 regular season games under the leadership of Joe Torre. The Yankees breezed through the playoffs, defeating the Texas Rangers and Cleveland Indians to set up a Fall Classic matchup against the San Diego Padres. The Yankees tore through the World Series, scoring 26 runs in a four-game sweep of the Padres to win yet another World Series title.
Offered here is a framed signed Yankees home jersey with a 1998 World Series patch sewn on the right sleeve. The chest of the jersey has been signed by 28 members of the 1998 Yankees, including the Hall of Famers Joe Torre and Tim Raines. Additional signatures include Mariano Rivera, Derek Jeter, David Wells, Willie Randolph, Jorge Posada, Ricky Ledee, Mike Stanton, Jeff Nelson, Luis Sojo, Mel Stottlemyre, Don Zimmer, Jose Cardenal, Shane Spencer, Chris Chambliss, David Cone, Orlando Hernandez, Andy Pettitte, Tino Martinez, Bernie Williams, Scott Brosius, Joe Girardi, Darryl Strawberry, Chuck Knoblauch, Graeme Lloyd, Homer Bush, and Ramiro Mendoza. The signatures have been written in blue marker on this size “52” jersey. The jersey is a limited edition 70 of 98 and is displayed in a 32 x 40-inch frame. It is accompanied by a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A19481).
