University of Arizona guard and future NBA star Gilbert Arenas wore this navy Arizona road jersey during his freshman season of 1999-2000. The 99th-ranked player in the RSCI coming out of high school, Arenas chose to wear his iconic number “0” in Tucson due to pundits suggesting his playing time would be infinitesimally small under head coach Lute Olsen. Arenas wound up averaging 15.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 2.1 steals per game for the Pac-10 champions alongside future NBA players Richard Jefferson, Luke Walton, and Loren Woods. Arenas led Arizona to the national title game in his second season, where only the Duke Blue Devils stood between Arizona and the championship. Arenas would go on to be selected by the Golden State Warriors with the second overall pick of the second round in 2001.

This offered Arizona jersey is navy, with “ARIZONA” and a “0” sewn on the chest in red and white tackle twill. A second “0” is sewn on the back of the jersey in the same fashion, while “ARENAS” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill. An “A” logo is sewn on the collar, while a size “52” tag with an attached “Length +4” flag is sewn on the front left tail. Arenas has signed the “0” digit on the back of the jersey in black marker. This jersey comes with a letter of provenance, a LOA from 100% Authentic and a LOA from Beckett Authentication Services (A25711) for Arenas’ signature.
