Already known as one of, if not the best, catcher in the American League, Ivan Rodriguez won the MVP Award in 1999 with 35 home runs, an American League record for catchers. Rodriguez used this Louisville Slugger C271 model bat during his MVP season in 1999. This bat displays outstanding use and is un-cracked. There are several ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers present on all sides of the barrel. Rodriguez’s number “7” has been hand written in silver marker on the knob. There is a large portion of the silver foil stamping within the barrel brands that is no longer visible. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14581) for game use and a LOA from former Major Leaguer Juan Gonzalez who states in his LOA that the bat was gifted to him by Ivan Rodriguez and has been part of his private collection.
