Former Major League manager Jim Leyland won 1,769 games in 22 seasons as manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Florida Marlins, Colorado Rockies and Detroit Tigers. Leyland spent his first 11 of those seasons in Pittsburgh, where he was Manager of the Year in 1990 and 1992, leading the Pirates to three consecutive National League East titles. Leyland also was Manager of the Year for the Detroit Tigers in 2006.

    Leyland spent his only season with the Colorado Rockies in 1999 where the team finished 72-90. Offered is the gray road jersey worn by Leyland during his only season in Denver. Leyland’s gray jersey features “ROCKIES” sewn on across the chest in purple and white tackle twill. The Russell Athletic size 44 jersey has the manufacturer’s tag sewn on the bottom front left tail with a “ 1” EXTRA BODY LENGTH” and “100% POLYESTER” flags. A team tag that reads “LEYLAND 44-11” is sewn on below the Russell tag. The back of the jersey has “LEYLAND” and his number “11” sewn on in purple and white tackle twill. The left sleeve has the “Colorado Rockies” patch and the right sleeve has a memorial “CHS” patch, honoring the victims of the Columbine High School tragedy. Purple piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons and runs around the sleeves about an inch off the ends. The jersey displays light to moderate use and Leyland signed his name vertically on the left “1” on the back of the jersey and inscribed “1999 Game Used ” vertically on the right “1”.
