Two-time FIFA World Cup champion Michelle Akers wore this white United States home jersey during an exhibition game between the United States and the FIFA World All-Stars at Spartan Stadium in San Jose, California. The game took place on February 14th, 1999, with the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup draw occurring at the half. The United States scored first, with Julie Foudy netting in the 24th minute, but a brace from Charmaine Hooper of Canada helped the FIFA World All-Stars to a 2-1 win. Akers was forced off the pitch due to injury in the 17th minute after colliding with a pair of World All-Star defenders.

This offered United States jersey is white, with the number “10” applied to the chest and back in red and navy. “AKERS” is applied to the back of the jersey in navy. A United States logo and the Nike swoosh are applied to the chest. Embroidered below the Nike swoosh is “FIFA World Stars / v / US National Team / San Jose, 14 February 1999”. A red and navy star is sewn on the right sleeve and a FIFA Fair Play patch is sewn on the left. A dark stain is visible on the front and back of the jersey, likely stemming from Akers collision with the two Word All-Star defenders. This jersey comes with a LOA signed by Michelle Akers herself. A portion of the proceeds shall benefit the Michelle Akers Horse Rescue & Outreach Inc.
