After the Philadelphia 76ERS won a close Game 1 of the 2001 NBA Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers buckled down and won the next four games for the Championship. This was their second of three consecutive Championships which would cement the team’s legacy as one of the best in NBA history. Shaquille O’Neal was the scoring leader in Games 1, 4 and 5, averaging 33 points per game. Shaq was named the 2001 NBA Final’s MVP, the second of three consecutive years he’d be so honored.

O’Neal wore this yellow mesh jersey during the 2001 Finals, at the moment he reached the very height of his Hall of Fame career. This home jersey has “LAKERS” and Shaq’s number “34” on the front in purple and white tackle twill. The right chest has the special NBA Finals patch. O’Neal has signed the “4” in black marker adding his number “34.” The left front tail has a Nike size 50 label with a “LENGTH +4” hangtag. Inside the jersey is a Nike label reading “2000-01” and cleaning instructions. The back has “O’NEAL” and his number “34” in purple and white tackle twill. The jersey shows good game use with some snagging and light toning throughout and some puckering and loose stitching visible on the lettering. A true signed Shaq gamer with direct attribution to the Finals. This jersey comes with an LOA from DC Sports for the game use, a STICKER ONLY from PSA/DNA (B17990) and a JSA LOA (Y34988) for the signature.
