Bartolo Colon, a Cy Young winner and three-time All-Star, kicked off his productive career with the Cleveland Indians in 1997. This signed, button-down navy blue alternate jersey from the 2000 season isn’t your typical autographed item. Colon signed this jersey in bold, silver Sharpie and intended it for former NL Rookie of the Year Raul Mondesi, as indicated by the inscription “To: Raul Mondesi de parte de:” above Colon’s signature. “COLON” and his number “40” appear on the back of the jersey in red-on-white tackle twill and “Indians” appears scripted across the front of the jersey in red on navy blue and white tackle twill. The left sleeve of the jersey features and Indians logo patch above a stitched Russell Athletic logo. The front tail of the jersey features an “MLB Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s tag with an affixed size 50 tag and white strip tag that reads “2000,” indicating the jersey’s year. The jersey comes with an LOA from noted jersey expert Dave Miedema. Signature authenticated by PSA/DNA.
