New York Mets second baseman Edgardo Alfonzo wore this jersey during the 2000 World Series against the New York Yankees. Although the Mets lost this World Series in five games against their cross-town rivals, Alfonzo was arguably the Mets best all-around player during the regular season, hitting .324 with 25 home runs, 40 doubles, and 94 RBI.

This jersey is the Mets button down white home alternate, the style worn during Games 3 and 5 of the Subway Series. “Mets” and Alfonzo’s number “13” are sewn on the chest in blue, orange, and black tackle twill. A Velcro swatch is sewn in between the second and third buttons on the chest. “ALFONZO” and a second “13” are sewn on the back of the jersey in blue, orange, and black tackle twill beneath a blue and orange MLB logo patch. A 2000 World Series patch is sewn on the right sleeve and a circular Mets skyline logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve above a blue Rawlings logo. Blue piping accents the front, collar, and sleeves of this jersey. A Rawlings tag with attached size “46” and “Set 1 2000” flags is sewn on the inside left tail of this jersey. Alfonzo signed the right chest in black marker. This jersey, which shows light use, comes with a LOA from JSA for the signature and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for the game use.
