Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson had many stops along his 25-year journey in the Major Leagues. In 2000, he split time between them and the New York Mets and Seattle Mariners. Henderson picked up his 2,817^th career during the first game of the 2000 season in Tokyo while he was still a member of the Mets. Henderson got his first hit of the 2000 season and 2,817^th of his career with a single to left field during the bottom of the third inning off Chicago Cubs pitcher Jon Lieber. Later in the season Henderson was traded by the Mets to the Mariners and played in 92 games, helping Seattle reach the postseason.
