Presented here is a 2001-02 Michael Jordan game worn Washington Wizards shooting shirt that comes directly from the personal collection of George Koehler, who is a long-time associate of Michael Jordan dating back to when Jordan joined the Bulls in 1984, having originally been his limousine driver, then his personal assistant and friend. Koehler was also part in the popular ESPN documentary The Last Dance. This white and teal short sleeve shirt was made by Nike and is a size 2XL. The lower part of this shirt is white with a teal upper chest, shoulder and sleeves. The Wizards logo is sewn on the front on the white portion, with the NBA logo and white Nike swoosh on the teal upper right chest. The right sleeve has “washington” in white and “wizards” in bronze embroidered, while the left sleeve has the 9/11 flag and ribbon patch. There is a partial zipper down the front that stops where the teal ends and two black vertical piping stripes are on the front and back. The Nike swoosh is in bronze on the upper back neck and the Nike size 2XL tag, along with a Wizards logo tag and an NBA AUTHENTICS tags are sewn on the front left tail. Jordan’s number “23” is handwritten in black marker on the Nike tag. An additional Nike Team XXL tag is sewn on the inside back collar. This shooting shirt comes with a LOA from George Koehler, who states in his LOA that this item came directly from his personal collection and was received directly from Michael Jordan.
