During the early 2000s, the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty strung together three consecutive NBA Finals Championships. Time and again, Shaquille O’Neal demonstrated that he was the most dominant player on the planet, winning the NBA Finals MVP Award all three times. Shaq continued his domination during the 2001-2002 season when the Lakers had a 58-24 regular season record and rolled their way through the post-season to win the franchise’s third consecutive NBA title.
This offered Nike Dri-Fit purple home yellow 2001-02 Los Angeles Lakers pro-cut Shaquille O’Neal jersey comes directly from the personal collection of former NBA standout Rick Fox, a teammate of Shaq in 2001-02. This was the last season that Shaq won a title with the Lakers and this jersey has "Lakers" across the chest in purple on white tackle twill. The NBA logo is embroidered on the upper left shoulder and Shaq's number “34" appears below in white on purple tackle twill. The left front tail has the Nike size "60" strip tag with the "LENGTH +4" flag tag underneath. Inside the left seam is a white Nike "2001-02" season flag tag along with a fabric/care flag tag. The back of the jersey has “O’NEAL” displayed across the upper back in purple on white tackle twill with Shaq’s number "34" in white on purple tackle twill directly underneath. The absence of the 9/11 memorial patch indicates this jersey was not game worn by Shaq. This jersey comes with a LOA from Rick Fox.
