Less than two months after September 11th, the D-Backs and Yankees met in the 97th Fall Classic. Veteran right-hander Bobby Witt closed out his 16-year career with a scoreless 8th inning in Game 6. He then enjoyed the rare luxury of retiring as a world champion. Manufactured by Masters of Design, Witt's 14K-gold, size 10 duplicate ring features 277 points' worth of glittering diamonds and poignantly captures the emotions of the post-attack era with a US flag on one shank and "9-11-01 / Never Forget" engraved inside the band. NM condition. A wood-grain plastic presentation box accompanies, along with a 2004 purchase LOA (noting the ring's status as a "duplicate"), as well as a 2003 Henry Kay Jewelers/Masters of Design jewelry appraisal letter establishing its insurance value on pure materials alone at $8,650 letter is written to the DiamondBacks.
