The Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. wore this black Baltimore Orioles alternate jersey in the post-9/11 portion of his 2001 campaign. Ripken played 20 games after the season resumed, including his final series at both Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium! Ripken hit a pair of homers and knocked in 10 runs in the final month of his decorated MLB career. Ripken finished the 2001 campaign with the final 14 of his 431 career homers, and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.

This black button-down Baltimore jersey features “Orioles” and Ripken’s number “8” sewn on the chest in orange and black tackle twill. “RIPKEN” and a second “8” are sewn across the back shoulders in orange and black tackle twill below a large American flag patch. An Orioles logo and a white Majestic logo are sewn on the left sleeve. The sleeve openings are accented with a thin orange band. A Majestic tag with an attached size “50” flag is sewn on the front left tail. This comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. with a signed LOA from Cal accompanying this game used jersey.
