Fred McGriff was a five-time All-Star first baseman with the Atlanta Braves, San Diego Padres and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He was a World Series champion with the Braves in 1995, and hit 493 career home runs including 12 with the Cubs in 2001. This white and blue pin-striped, button-down game used Cubs home jersey features the “Crime Dog’s” signature in silver Sharpie on the bottom of the “2” in his number “29” on the back. The Cubs’ logo is on the front left chest and “McGRIFF” appears in blue-on-red tackle twill across the back. There is a Cubs logo with a red “C” and blue bear on the left sleeve above a stitched “Majestic” logo. The front tail of the jersey features a “Majestic Authentic Collection” tag with a small “50” tag underneath to indicate the size. The inside collar has a white strip tag with black writing that reads “50 01 1” for the size, year and set. There is a small strip of white Velcro stitched between the second and third buttons from the top. McGriff’s signature comes with PSA/DNA certification number U77445. The jersey exhibits evidence of light game use and appears to be all original. The jersey comes with a LOA from Dave Miedema, noted sports jersey expert.
