Presented here is a 2001 Los Angeles Lakers back-to-back NBA champions leather jacket custom made by the streetwear impresario Jeff Hamilton. A fixture in the NBA since the 1980s, Hamilton has created custom jackets for stars as varied as Michael Jordan and Drake. This jacket has the Lakers wordmark sewn on the chest above the Los Angeles skyline. The years of eight Los Angeles Lakers titles are sewn on the sleeves, with a Jeff Hamilton patch sewn on the right sleeve. A laurel wreath is sewn around the collar. A large patch on the purple lining of the jacket reads “This Limited Edition Jacket was designed by Jeff Hamilton / commemorate The Los Angeles Lakers Back to Back Championship”. This jacket is a tremendous artifact from one of the NBA’s most famous designers.
