When Michael Jordan returned to basketball after a three-year layoff, it was as if the “His Airness” didn’t miss a beat. Even at age 38, Jordan still found a way to dominate on the hardwood, averaging 22.9 and 20 points, respectively, for the Washington Wizards during the 2001-02 and 2002-03 seasons. Offered here is the jersey Jordan wore during the November 11th game against the Seattle SuperSonics. Despite the 99-84 loss to Seattle, Jordan recorded a double-double with his 16 points and 12 rebounds.

This white heavy mesh Wizards home jersey moderate game use with the right chest of the jersey features a red, white and blue ribbon and American flag patch, commemorating the events of September 11. “WIZARDS” appears across the chest in blue on brown-and-black tackle twill, with “JORDAN” across the back in blue-on-brown tackle twill. Jordan’s famed number “23” is found on both sides of the jersey in blue on brown-and-black tackle twill. The front tail of the jersey features a “Nike” manufacturer’s tag, size 50, and boasts an affixed “LENGTH +4” tag indicating size modifications, which are consistent with Jordan gamers. Jordan has signed his name in black marker vertically on the “2” on the front of the jersey. This jersey comes with a COA from The MeiGray Group (110623) for the game use and a COA from Upper Deck Authenticated (BAH 70732) for the signature. This jersey also comes with a program from the William Wendt Center For Loss and Healing as part of their “16th Annual Benefit” which was on November 13, 2001 in which this jersey was auctioned.
