Throughout the 1990’s and 2000’s, Chipper Jones was among the best third baseman in baseball, a perennial All-Star who could hit for both power and average. In 2018, Jones was honored with induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, finding a spot in Cooperstown on his first ballot. The Atlanta Braves superstar compiled a .303 batting average for his career while crushing 468 home runs. Jones led the Braves to a World Series title in 1995, and claimed the 1999 National League MVP Award with a Triple Crown slash of .319/45/110. Jones, the 2008 National League batting champ, retired after the 2012 MLB season.

Jones made the fifth All-Star Game of his career in 2001 while putting up a .330/38/102 Triple Crown slash. Presented here is Jones’ warm up jersey from the 2001 All-Star Game in Seattle. This red mesh jersey is a button-down, with “NATIONAL” sewn across the chest in white, red, and navy blue tackle twill. A 2001 All-Star Game patch is sewn on the left sleeve, while a Braves patch is sewn on the right sleeve. “JONES” and his number “10” are sewn on the back of the jersey in white tackle twill. A Majestic tag with an attached size “48” flag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. This jersey has been signed by many of Jones’ 2001 All-Star Game teammates (31 signatures total), including the Hall of Famers Tony Gwynn, Randy Johnson, Bobby Cox, and 2018 Hall of Fame inductess Chipper Jones and Vladimir Guerrero. The remaining signatures include Barry Bonds, Curt Schilling, Lance Berkman, Jimmy Rollins, Luis Gonzalez, Ryan Klesko, Larry Walker, Moises Alou, Dusty Baker, John Burkett, Brian Giles, Sean Casey, Chan Ho Park, Charles Johnson, Jon Lieber, Matt Morris, Rick Reed, Jeff Shaw, Ben Sheets, and Billy Wagner.
