Paul Pierce wore this black pair of Nike Foamposite Signature Player Paul Pierce PE sneakers during the 2001-02 NBA season. Pierce, already an established star with the Celtics, dropped 26.1 points and grabbed 6.9 rebounds per game in 2001-02, numbers good enough to land the former Jayhawk on his first NBA All-Star team. Pierce went on to play 19 NBA seasons, including 15 with the Celtics, before retiring after the 2016-17 NBA season. These offered Nike shoes are size 15, with “P2” and Pierce’s number “34” embroidered on the tongue. A second “34” is embroidered on each heel. Pierce has signed both shoes in silver marker, inscribing “To My Dog” on the left shoe. These sneakers originate from the personal memorabilia collection of Tyronn Lue, who was gifted the shoes by “The Truth” after a game. These shoes come with a LOA from Tyronn Lue and a LOA from JSA (Z32977). Please note that Tyronn Lue is donating 100% of his proceeds from the sale of this item to the United Methodist Church of Mexico, Missouri.
