Offered is a signed Rickey Henderson game-used Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball with career hit number “2,974” inscribed on the ball west of Selig’s stamped signature. Henderson led off San Diego’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on August 11th, 2001, with his 2,974th hit, a single off Joe Beimel. The all-time steals leader finished the game 2-for-5 with an RBI as San Diego won 6-2. Henderson has signed the sweet spot in black pen. The inscription of “2,974 Hits” is written in an unknown hand. The ball shows moderate use and comes with a LOA from Beckett for the signature (AA08633) and a LOA from MEARS (319737) for game use.
