Offered is a signed Rickey Henderson game-used Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball with career hit number “2,971” inscribed on the ball. Henderson collected hit number 2,971 as a pinch-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds on August 5th, 2001 at Qualcomm Stadium. Henderson singled in the sixth inning, and scored several batters later on Ryan Klesko’s triple. Henderson has signed the sweet spot of this baseball in black pen. An inscription reading “2,971 Hits” is written on the ball in an unknown hand on the panel north of the sweet spot. The ball shows moderate use and comes with a LOA from Beckett for the signature (AA08628) and a LOA from MEARS (319732) for game use.
