A prolific goalscorer for almost two full decades, Ronaldo has rewritten soccer’s record books throughout his club career for Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus. It was in Portugal during the 2002-03 Primeira Liga season that Ronaldo got his first taste of professional soccer, scoring three league goals and impressing Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson enough for the stern Scottish coach to bring the explosive teenager to England’s most prestigious club. Ronaldo’s superstardom has translated to magnificent performances for the Portuguese national team, with Ronaldo recently surpassing Ali Daei’s record of 109 men’s international goals.
