The great Michael Jordan wore this Washington Wizards road jersey in the 2002-2003 NBA season. This was the final year Jordan, a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, would grace the NBA with his presence on the hardwood before transitioning to a management and ownership role. Jordan, who came out of a three-year retirement to join the Wizards in 2001-02, averaged a cool 20 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game in 2002-03, despite being 39 years old. An All-Star in his final season, Jordan once again asserted his status as the greatest player in NBA history that year.
This blue mesh jersey has “WIZARDS” sewn across the chest in white, gold, and black tackle twill. Jordan’s iconic number “23” is sewn on the chest and back in white, gold, and black tackle twill. “JORDAN” is sewn across the back shoulders in white and gold tackle twill. The sleeve openings and collar of this jersey feature blue, gold, and black bands, and a black strip outlined in gold runs down the side of this jersey. An NBA logo patch is sewn above the left breast. A Nike size “52” tag with a “LENGTH +4” flag is sewn on the bottom front left area of the jersey. This jersey shows light game use and is accompanied by an LOA from Alan Meza.
