From the time he came into the league Barry Bonds established himself as the premier player of his generation. By the time the final chapter of his career was written, Bonds would establish many offensive records including Single Season and Career Home Run records yet to be challenged, a record 7 Most Valuable Players and 12 Silver Sluggers. As a feared hitter, he also established Single season and career base on balls records yet to be challenged as well.
In 2002, a year following his MLB record setting Home Run campaign, Bonds drew a staggering 198 Base on Balls breaking his 2001 record of 177. The previous mark was set 78 years prior when Babe Ruth drew 170 passes in 1923. Bonds has since eclipsed this mark just two years later in 2004 and now holds the three highest single season totals for Base on Balls as well as Career totals. This ball was used during his 178th record setting walk in 2002 breaking his previous years single season record. The ball has also been signed by Bonds and comes with a Barry Bonds LOA.
