Barry Bonds used this Sam Bat offered here during his 2002 MVP season and when it was used to hit his 585th career home run.  Bonds’ 18th home run of the 2002 season came off of Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Brian Anderson in the bottom of the fifth inning of the Giants 7-3 victory on May 27th. Bonds’ amazing career-high .370 combined with a monstrous 1.381 OPS propelled the Giants all the way to the World Series.

This SAM Bonds 2K1 model bat has been photo matched to the May 27th, 2002 game by PSA/DNA and is un-cracked, showing outstanding use. The barrel has ball marks along with white leather ball scuffs and ink transfers. There are some cleat marks on all sides of the barrel and the handle and knob have been taped to enhance the grip. The top barrel has the length “34,” weight “32 oz,” date “04 09 02,” model “2K1” and Bonds’ initials “B.B.” written on the barrel end in black marker. The slugger has also signed the barrel in silver marker, inscribing “5-27-02 #585” making this a complete Barry Bonds gamer. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18418) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10, along with being photo matched to the May 27th game. There is also a LOA from Barry Bonds.
