Barry Bonds was the 2002 National League MVP after a spectacular regular season in which he won the NL batting crown with a .370 batting average, while pounding 46 home runs and driving in 110. Bonds’ incredible regular season carried into the postseason where he led his San Francisco Giants to the World Series. Games 1 and 2 of the NLCS saw the Giants jump out to a 2-0 series lead over the St. Louis Cardinals. In the 9-6 victory at Busch Stadium. Although Anaheim won this World Series in seven games, Bonds would go on to win the next two National League MVP trophies.
