Barry Bonds wore this gold mesh National League batting practice jersey during the 2002 All-Star Weekend at Miller Park in Milwaukee. Bonds started the game for the National League, crushing a two-run homer off Blue Jays ace Roy Halladay in the third inning for his second career All-Star Game dinger. Bonds, a season removed from setting the single-season home run record of 73, had an equally spellbinding season in 2002. The former Arizona State star hit 46 homers with 110 RBI and won the National League batting crown with a career-high .370 batting average. Despite playing in his 17th season, Bonds was a terror for opposing pitchers, leading the Major Leagues in walks (198), OBP (.582, at the time an all-time record), slugging percentage (.799), and intentional walks (68), among other statistics. Bonds won the second of his four consecutive National League MVP awards and made his only career World Series appearance in the 2002 Fall Classic. Despite Bonds’ .471 batting average, four homers, and 13 walks, the Giants fell to the Anaheim Angels in a heartbreaking seven-game series.

This gold mesh button-down jersey has “National” sewn across the chest in navy, white, and gold tackle twill. “BONDS” and his number “25” are sewn on the back of the jersey in navy tackle twill. A 2002 All-Star Game patch is sewn on the left sleeve while a Giants logo patch is sewn on the right sleeve. Navy piping accents the chest and collar of this jersey. A Majestic tag is sewn on the front left tail of this jersey. Please note that no size is indicated on this jersey. Bonds has signed the “2” digit on the back of this jersey in silver marker. This jersey comes with a LOA from Barry Bonds.
