Brazil’s legendary striker Ronaldo Nazario de Lima was presented with this 2002 FIFA World Cup winners award after his fantastic tournament in South Korea and Japan. “R9” led Brazil to their fifth World Cup title, defeating Germany in the final match by a score of 2-0. Naturally, “ O Fenomeno” scored both goals for Brazil, ending his tournament as the Golden Ball winner with eight goals. Ronaldo is one of the icons for Brazil, accruing 98 caps for Brazil and scoring 62 goals.
This offered plaque comes in the original blue presentation box. The award features a raised Brazilian Football Confederation logo above a smaller plaque etched with “Homenagem da Confederacao Brasileira de Futebol ao Atleta”, “Ronaldo Nazario de Lima”, and “Pela conquista da Copa do Mundo de 2002 29 de Novembro de 2002 Ricardo Teixeira Presidente”. This historic award comes with a LOA from former CBF official Alexandre Silva Da Silveira.
