Minnesota Twins first baseman Justin Morneau wore this “Stars & Stripes” themed New Britain Rock Cats jersey during the 2002 MiLB season. Morneau, the future 2006 American League MVP with the Twins, played in 126 games for the AA Rock Cats in 2002, hitting .298 with 16 homers, 80 RBI, and 31 doubles. This was Morneau’s final full-season in the minor leagues, as the Canadian slugger appeared in 40 contests with the Twins the following season. This offered pullover Rock Cats jersey features an American flag pattern, with the body covered in alternating red and white stripes and the sleeves blue with white stars. “ROCK CATS” is sewn across the chest in blue and white tackle twill, while Morneau’s number “35” is sewn on the back in blue tackle twill. An OT Sports tag is sewn on the front left tail and an OT Sports size “XXL” flag is sewn on the back inside collar. Morneau has signed the “5” digit on the back of this jersey in black marker. This item comes with a LOA from the New Britain Rock Cats and a COA from JSA.
