Probably the best catcher in the National League for over 15 seasons, Mike Piazza put up career stats that make him arguably the greatest hitting catcher to ever play the game. 2002, from which year this bat dates to, was a typical season for the New York Mets' catcher, batting .280 with 33 home runs while making the NL All-Star team and taking home the Silver Slugger Award.
Piazza's used this Mizuno Pro Ltd model bat during the 2002 season. This bat displays outstanding use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks with stitch impressions that can be seen on the barrel along with cleat imprints and blue ink transfers. A moderate coat of pine tar is found mid-handle and Piazza’s number “31” have been hand written both on the knob and the top barrel. bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15237) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10.
