Considered by many to be the best hitting catcher of all-time, Hall of Famer Mike Piazza turned in another All-Star year in 2002, batting .280 with 33 home runs, taking home the Silver Slugger Award for the 10th time in his career.
2002 was Piazza’s fourth full season with the New York Mets and this Mizuno Pro model bat was used by the all-star backstop. This bat displays light use and is un-cracked. There are a few ball marks and ball stitch impressions on the barrel and a light coating of pin tar that is on the handle. Piazza’s “31” is hand written on black marker on the knob and the top of the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B10092) for the game use.
