Former NBA star Rick Fox enjoyed a stellar 13-season career playing for the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers. The Canadian-born forward out of the University of North Carolina, won three titles with the Lakers from 2000-2002 and retired following the 2004 season.          

Led by one of the most prolific duos in NBA history in Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant, the 2002 Los Angeles Lakers swept the New Jersey Nets in the NBA Finals to win their third straight NBA championship. O’Neal posted season averages of 27.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, while Bryant scored 25.2 points per game, while adding 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists. Rick Fox finished fourth on the team in scoring (7.9 per game), starting in all 82 games.

This offered road purple Los Angeles Lakers jersey was worn by Fox during the 2002 NBA Finals. This Nike size 52 jersey has “LAKERS” on the front in yellow and white tackle twill. Fox’s number “17” is sewn on the front and back in white and yellow tackle twill. The NBA logo and Larry O’Brien patch are sewn on the upper left chest, while the 9/11 memorial ribbon and American flag patch is sewn on the upper right chest. The Nike size 52 tag with the Lakers logo and NBA Authentics log is sewn on the bottom left tail which has a “LENGTH+4” flag and “2002” handwritten in black marker. “FOX” is sewn on the back above his number in yellow and white tackle twill. The sides of this jersey have a thick vertical yellow stripe with white and yellow borders. This jersey comes with a LOA from Rick Fox for the game use.
