Former Chicago Cubs slugger Sammy Sosa closed the book on 2002 by leading the National League with 49 home runs and 122 runs scored. As a tribute to Sosa's superstar status in the game, Rawlings created a special Heart of the Hide model glove made to the slugger's unique specifications. Crafted from leather colored to match the Cubs blue and red scheme, it has been further customized for Sosa with a Dominican Republic flag motif on outside webbing and his name embroidered in blue on a red-leather patch on the outside ring finger. The Rawlings PROSS21 fielder's glove shows light game use and the Cubs blue and red leather remains bright and clean. The Cubs star has signed the outside middle finger in black Sharpie adding "#21". Sosa's own hologram (ASI 4036) is affixed above that. This has to be one of the most attractive custom game gloves ever produced by Rawlings and it is made even more desirable with the addition of Sosa's signature. This also comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1G00736) for the game use and a LOA from JSA for the signature.
