Los Angeles Lakers superstar center Shaquille O’Neal wore this yellow Lakers home jersey during the 2002 NBA Finals against the New Jersey Nets. O’Neal was a dominant force during the Finals, leading all scorers with an incredible 36.3 points per game in the Lakers four-game sweep of their Eastern Conference opponent and their third consecutive NBA championship. O’Neal added 12.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.8 blocks per game to easily win the Finals MVP award for the third straight year. The first two games of the 2002 Finals took place at the Staples Center, with O’Neal putting up 36 points and 16 boards in the Lakers 99-94 Game 1 win, and 40 and 12 in their 106-83 defeat of the Nets in Game 2. During the 2001-02 season, O’Neal averaged a double-double of 27.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.

This offered Lakers home jersey has “LAKERS” sewn across the chest in purple and white tackle twill. O’Neal’s number “34” is sewn on the chest and back in white and purple tackle twill, while “O’NEAL” is sewn across the back shoulders in purple and white tackle twill. The sides of the jersey are accented with silver and white. A Nike size “60” tag with an attached “Length +4” flag is sewn on the front left tail. A NBA Finals patch is sewn on the left chest and a 9/11 Memorial patch is sewn on the right chest. O’Neal has signed the “4” digit on the chest of the jersey in black marker. This historic jersey comes with a LOA from D.C. Sports for the game use and a LOA from JSA for the signature.
