Former Major League manager Jim Leyland won 1,769 games in 22 seasons as manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Florida Marlins, Colorado Rockies and Detroit Tigers. Leyland spent his first 11 of those seasons in Pittsburgh, where he was Manager of the Year in 1990 and 1992, leading the Pirates to three consecutive National League East titles. Leyland also was Manager of the Year for the Detroit Tigers in 2006.

Following his one season as manager of the Colorado Rockies in 1999, Leyland joined the St. Louis Cardinals organization as a scout. Soon thereafter, Leyland was an instructor during spring training and wore this size 46 Majestic red Cardinals’ button-down red jersey during the 2003-2005 spring training seasons. “Cardinals” is sewn across the chest in red and navy blue cursive script in smooth chenille with a white backdrop and a golden bat and two perched Cardinals on each end. The back of the jersey has “LEYLAND” sewn on the back in white and navy blue tackle twill. As was customary with St. Louis coaches, just Leyland’s name was sewn on the back. Each sleeve has navy blue vertical piping down the center of each sleeve. Leyland signed his name in black marker on the front left center of the jersey and inscribed “Spring Training”. This jersey shows light use and comes with a STICKER ONLY from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (B53113) and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
