Texas Rangers shortstop Alex Rodriguez wore this gray Rangers road jersey in 2003, his final year in Arlington before joining the New York Yankees in a blockbuster deal. Rodriguez won the first of his three American League MVP awards in 2003, leading baseball with 47 home runs. Rodriguez hit .298 in 2003, adding 118 RBI, 124 runs scored, 17 steals, and 30 doubles. The former Mariner made the American League All-Star team in 2003 and received both Silver Slugger and Gold Glove honors after the season.
This gray, button-down jersey has “TEXAS” sewn across the chest in blue, white, and black tackle twill. “RODRIGUEZ” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue, red, and white tackle twill over a matching gray nameplate. Rodriguez’s number “3” is sewn on the back of the jersey in blue, red, white, and black tackle twill. A MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar and a Texas state flag patch is sewn on the left sleeve. Blue piping accents the sleeves of this double-knit jersey. A Majestic tag with attached “52” and “set 2 2003” flags is sewn on the front left tail. This jersey shows moderate wear and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
