Hall of Fame third baseman Chipper Jones wore this Mizuno glove during Game 3 of the 2003 National League Division Series against the Chicago Cubs. Jones led the Braves to a 101-61 regular season record and yet another National League East Division title in 2001, finishing the year with 27 home runs, 106 RBI, and a .305 batting average. The Cubs would win Game 3, which took place on October 3rd, behind a 3-1 scoreline and a Mark Prior complete game. Jones reached base via walk, although he would hit two home runs and drive in six runs during the series, which went five games and finished 3-2 in favor of the Cubs.
This Mizuno MCL-2003 glove has been photo matched to Game 3 of the 2003 NLDS. It displays evidence of outstanding use, and is constructed of two-toned brown leather. A Mizuno tag is located on the top of the wrist, and “Chipper Jones” is embroidered on the thumb in black. “Mizuno” is embroidered on the middle finger in black. The web is constructed in the sixth finger style. Jones has signed the index finger in black marker, inscribing “Game Used” next to his signature. This glove comes with a PSA/DNA STICKER ONLY (4A62761) for the signature and a LOA from PSA/DNA (1G00430), who have photo matched the glove to the October 3rd contest.
