Former Chicago White Sox pitcher Esteban Loaiza had statistically his best season in 2003. He pitched the most innings of his career (226.1) and led the American League in strikeouts with 207. Loaiza had a special ring made celebrating his achievements for the 2003 season. This offered silver ring features numerous diamonds that cover the front. The face features a cluster of diamonds, including a yellow 21 (his uniform number), with “ALL STARS 2003” reading around the outside. One shank displays “LOAIZA 1st STRIKEOUTS 1st ERA 21 WINS.” (While Loaiza did lead the league in strikeouts, his 2.90 ERA actually placed third.) The opposite shank shows a White Sox logo and reads “2nd PLACE CY YOUNG 21”. Inside the band includes a 14K mark as well as “MARIA”. Please note that the shanks show wear. This ring weighs approximately 39.5 grams and is a size 11 ½. This is a truly unique ring with numerous diamonds.
