Wearing this Florida Marlins road gray jersey, Ivan Rodriguez hit his second home run of the 2003 postseason in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on October 7th, 2003. Rodriguez’s home run was a three-run shot off Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano to left field that brought the Marlins back into the game after going down 5-0. Rodriguez finished the night going 2-5 with five RBI as the Marlins won 9-8 in 11 innings.

This Florida Marlins gray button-down road jersey has “Florida” and a paraph sewn across the chest in black, silver, teal, and white tackle twill. Rodriguez’s number “7” is sewn on the front and back in similarly colored tackle twill. “RODRIGUEZ” is sewn across the back shoulders in black, silver, teal, and white tackle twill. A Marlins 10th Anniversary patch is sewn on the right sleeve, while a Marlins logo patch is sewn on the left above a Russell Athletic logo. An MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar. A Russell tag with a partially cut-off flag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. Rodriguez signed the back of this jersey in black marker to the left of his number and inscribed “#7” and “Home Run #2 5 R.B.I Game 1 N.L.C.S Oct. 7th 2003”. This jersey, which shows light wear, comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication for game use and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A56127) for the signature.
