Miguel Cabrera burst into the Major Leagues as a 20 year old in 2003, splitting his time between third base and left field for the Florida Marlins. Although Cabrera played only 87 games, he was an integral part of the Marlins offense, hitting 12 home runs and 62 RBI in less than 350 plate appearances. It was in the playoffs that Cabrera truly came into his own, mashing four home runs with 12 RBI and 10 runs scored in the Marlins second World Series winning season. In the coming seasons, Cabrera would announce himself as a perennial MVP candidate, compiling 11 straight seasons with at least 25 home runs, 100 RBI, and a .290 or better batting average. The American League MVP in 2012 and 2013 with the Detroit Tigers, Cabrera completed the first Triple Crown season in 2012 since Carl Yastrzemski in 1967. A surefire future Hall of Famer, Cabrera is now 34, and shows no signs of slowing down.
